good small supermarket, stocked everything i needed without spending a fortune

How sad. A big retailer now has the monopoly on food shopping in Old Town.
A huge (and ugly) apartment block was recently completed, so now part of the ground floor is leased by Sainsbury’s. a quarter of a mile away is a Sainsbury’s supermarket, albeit a smallish one. How wondrous if an independent grocer had been able to take this spot!
So now the Poole area is divided between Sainsbury, Tesco and Asda. The High Street is losing clothing shops and becoming a street of banks and charity shops. A sign of the times.
Well something was needed in this slot, not sure if it should be Sainsbury’s though.
