My children managed to drag me along, despite my protests, as I am terrified of water slides. I also took along our 5 year old so was wary how he would find it from previous reviews. However, despite my fears overall our experiences rated from fantastic(children 13, 8 and 5) to not so bad after all(scared and 44). There were enough easier rides to keep 5 and 44 happy but the signage could be much improved. I found it very confusing for a while. It is much older and worn looking than I expected. The water is heavily chlorinated-our hair still smelt strongly after a good shower and thanks to our miserable British summer was too cold despite it being August. I am glad we opted for the 2 hour ticket. I am not sure why anyone would want to stay longer-even the older children had had enough by then and the 5 year old was shivering.

I visited this indoor waterpark recently they have made some improvements and the snag is with this place young children have been forgotten. The park is good for older children and adults but young children have a small indoor pool or out door pool and a slide and small climing frame and that is it. There are a varirty of prices depending on how long you want to stay. there is a day ticket which allows you to leave the park and return later. or you can have a 2 hour ticket, I would suggest you try that first and see how it suits your family. Please also bear in mind certain flumes are height and age restricted so best to chek in advane so you have no tears.

I visited with family some time ago and the kids got along and splashed about a bit as they do, it was an afternoon out for them, but this is not the best water park that we’ve been too, and as previously mentioned the prices do not represent good value for money. On paper it sounds like a good place to visit but in practice it’s only entertaining for a very short period of time so if you don’t mind money down the drain(or should that be water slide) then the kids can while away an hour or so there before they get bored!

My daughter likes visitng splashdown for all the water slides. Essentially it’s not a swimming pool but a lot of different slides. The cost to get in and swim is hugely expensive at £8 for two hours or £11 for all day. I don;t think you could spend all day here as there isn;t enough slides. People obviously like the swimming site however as there are always queues to get in. I think the spectator charge at £4 is hugely ridiculous and should be stopped. To sit there and watch children who don;t stay in one place long enough to actually see them is ridiculous, the place could make money from sellng confectionary rather than making people pay to sit on a chair.
