This place is cozy and has a welcoming staff. Friendly faces came with warnings of how hot the foods were. I got a medium hot and reluctantly took my first bite. No heat but wonderful flavor. My daughter got the hot and it was more of a medium. It was a wonderful dining experience and highly recommend this Indian Restaurant.

First we tried to get a table (without booking) at two other places but they were full, then we said «let’s go down and check out that indian place». I’m glad we did. Although it was busy we did get a table after about 15 minutes in the waiting room.
The restaurant is not big, it is not posh or fancy, but it is charming, personal and quite intimate (or cozy if you prefer). Service is good and friendly, and last but not least the food — it is surprisingly good! Totally recommended if you’re in for some indian while in Portree.
They also have takeaway.

I’m knocking one point off for no paneer dishes on the menu (my favorite at Indian restaurants), but otherwise we enjoyed our food here. The vegetable balti and naans were good, as was the service. Would recommend.
