Moderately good restaurant. Steaks are good, cut a little thin and dry. Staff was friendly, and manager was very attentive. Wife’s steak was good, and the sides were hot. That said, seemed to either to not understand term medium rare or are unable to do it due to the cut and style of thier beef. Beer selection is limited. Overall an average steakhouse.

Nice place to have a quiet bite, and for a celebration/​function. Really pleasant sitting on the terrace next the swiftly flowing Arun. Not the least expensive eaterie in town, but one of the best placed. They certainly do have the knack of making good coffee…

Its actually Harbour Lights Beefeaters now but no matter, the food, drink and staff are just outstanding! My colleagues and I had dinner here whilst in Portsmouth, UK. Just a wonderful place for dinner and drinks with friends. Rebecca and Lorraine took great care of us. The food was nicely prepared, fresh and delish! GREAT beer selection on tap and in bottles. By the way, save room for dessert! Yum! Just very comfortable.

Had a decent meal here with the missus during the late summer of 2013.
I had the Haddock Rarebit, which was pretty damn hearty and filling. She had the crab salad, which she enjoyed.
We sat outside as the weather was nice. Service here is fairly businesslike and efficient — which was good since they were quite busy.
A good option for the area, I would say.

The Harbour Lights have had a refurb this year and the place looks amazing.
Same menu as before but I believe that is also being updated in a couple of months.
If you do live nearby, this one is worth a visit. The staff are all very friendly and as I said earlier, the new décor is stunning and very welcoming.

Great food at a great price! The fillet steak is actually pretty good (as is the soup of the day — whatever flavour, they are all good!). I would definitely recommend Harbour Lights over other beefeaters in the area. The dining area is decorated in neutral tones with art work on the walls. The staff are always helpful and friendly and the atmosphere is bustly without being loud and unwelcoming.

good food at reasonable prices but not big portions! conveniently situated, nice calm atmosphere and relaxing. always clean and tidy and the staff always have a smile and are helpfull. i always go here christmas time and always have a great time, well worth a visit.

The food is great here, the prices are good and the staff are very friendly. Parking is easy and it is very easy to find. Great if you are staying at the marriott hotel, it is a short distance walk for some very good food.
