The Great Northern

This is a typical pub, a place selling alchoholic drinks, beer, wine etc, nothing special to write home about unless you visit on the 1^st saturday of the month. That is the night that Rocking Johnny performs! Who might I ask you is Rocking Johnny Well imagine this a 60+ year old, jet black hair in giant quiff (dyed of course!), dressing in a tight fitting white silk Elvis catsuit! When I was asked by some friends to go for a drink this was the last thing I was expecting but all I can say is what a fantastic night we had. As you would expect he sings Elvis songs and his energy and enthusiasm get the whole pub rocking along with him. If its a special occasion he will dedicate a song to you and during the evening there were many such requests. My friends and I spent the whole night dancing away til the early hours as the pub has a late night extension. Not what I was expecting but I have already marked the 1^st Saturday of next month in my diary as rocking johnny night!
