In its favour this coffee shop on platforms 8 and 9 offers some comfortable seating and a wide range of very tasty drinks sandwiches and cakes. However, I hate a rip — off and this place is extremely expensive. It has ineffective heating as the entrance is open, so I was chilled whilst eating. They don’t even provide Wi — Fi for your money.

A small shop, located on the train station platform. If you’re waiting for a train and hungry, your choice is to either buy something on board (if it’s available) or pick up a nibble here. Coffee and tea, including lattes and cappucinos are available, plus a cooler of cold sodas and three or four choices in beer.
My quick visit was… quick. The sandwich I chose was popped into the panini press while my credit card was slowly processed. All was good and I was out in about three minutes and onto the train.
Good choices in sandwiches — regular bloomer breads and rolls, plus a few baguettes that are ready for pressing, which nice cheese offerings. Ham and brie, pepperoni and shredded mozzarella, turkey cranberry and camembert.
