Lots of fresh home baking, good selection of sandwiches, Paninnis and Bagels and damn fine coffee. I would say its the best food place in Hillington industrial estate but i think that’s called damning with faint praise!

As said in previous reviews, location not very nice, but all that said, food is lovely, and fresh, have been here hundreds of times. 2 fresh pots of soup made every lunch time. I love the bagel with omelete, it’s so yummy. Food is freshly made, and a quick service, staff are very pleasant too. Prices are reasonable. Well worth the visit!

Having to make an emergency trip to replace a part of a bath which magically collapsed on me, thus flooding the lower part of our house… you’d be surprised to hear that I barely left the house wearing clothes rather than pyjamas, and more so that I didn’t stop to make breakfast. After a dash over to the west side of the country, part in hand, we stopped to grab a coffee at Bocadillo before making the return journey home. Friendly staff, nice enough coffee, though I wouldn’t be too excited about the food — I had an omelette baguette — omelette ok and non greasy, baguette soft and feeling rather underbaked but overall not the most exciting breakfast in the world. Crunchy baguette might have had a different response. All in all — nice people, horrible location. I would go back for the coffee.

Can there be any two more depressing words than«industrial estate?» Conjuring images of call centres, roundabouts and David Brent, I doubt anyone has ever had an inspiring career stuck in one of these cesspits of mediocrity. I spent a few months at the Hillington one last year working in a very dull receptionist job. I think the only thing that stopped me searching for a noose to hang myself just for something to do, was the reminder that I would be visiting Bocadillo’s at lunchtime. Bocadillo is a coffee house situated between a greasy spoon, a Greggs and a rather grim Somerfield in the heart of the estate. There is no reason for Bocadillo to be any good at all; there isn’t much choice for workers in the area. But Bocadillo is a top notch, stylish coffee that would still draw in the lunchtime workers in the city centre. The menu offered three homemade soups to choose which are different every day in a range of delicious flavours such as stilton and cauliflower They also serve salads, panninis, baked potatoes and a daily special. The staff always serve with a smile and the décor has a New York coffeehouse feel. Bocadillo also cater for outside parties of which more information is available on their website. Hopefully I will never have to work in a grim job in Hillington Industrial Estate again. But if I do, at least I know I’ll have Bocadillo’s to brighten my day.
