Ma Cuisine is an independent French restaurant just outside Kew Gardens station. It felt a little bit like a French conservatory, in a good way. Starter was scallops with truffle gnocchi, gnocchi was excellent, scallops were actually a bit flavourless and not that well-cooked, expected better for the price. Onion soup was excellent though. Stuffed rabbit main was good, flavourful, but again, a small portion. Sides were very good, fries were really excellent, so was the creamed spinach and other veg. It was slightly small for each person, but we shared, so it was fine. They were kind enough to give us some free fries were we questioned if the portions we for 1 or 2. Coq au vin was very much enjoyed too. Dessert was panna cotta, which was poor. Serves me right for ordering an Italian dessert in a French restaurant, the chocolate mousse was amazing. Service was great, informative, but casual enough to let us bunch of girls giggle through our evening. At the end, we were extremely full, so I am probably just being greedy when I say portion sizes were on the smaller side. I actually really enjoyed my time here, the atmosphere, the food-in most parts and the service would make me recommend this place to anyone. Stick to the classics though.

A short walk from Kew Garden and there you are. Sunday roasts were on and we partook. We had the beef and lamb and both were okay, not great but okay — the beef was medium, not rare and the lamb was scarce. However the appetizers and desserts made up for it — a great apple tartin. Gratefully, the squalling child was removed after 5 minutes

The best French restaurant that I have found in West London.

Charming little French bistro not far from the Kew Gardens tube station. The service is excellent and so is the food. Great Sunday Roast deal too — 3 courses for 19 pounds, where everything is absolutely delicious(and large portions too). I’m sure they do everything else amazingly too.

I was meeting a few friends for lunch here, but given the choice I wouldn’t have chosen this place, mainly because of the dairy-saturated northern French cuisine, which I have problems with being lactose intolerant. Picking something from the menu that didn’t involve meat or dairy proved to be rather taxing. I eventually settled on what seemed to be the least cheesy, a stuffed pancakes with mushroom and spinach combination. Although I tried to explain my desire for a dairy-free experience, there were clearly translational difficulties with the French waitress as the pancakes were stuffed with cheese sauce, so I ended up not eating much and left still hungry and a good deal lighter of pocket. The restaurant itself is very nicely laid out, although it feels a little cramped as the tables are pretty close together. It’s also pretty noisy when busy so it’s hard to have a decent conversation. Not my kind of place at all, but if you like this sort of cuisine it seems very nice.

Went here after a trip to Kew Gardens. It’s very near the tube station and hard to miss. They offer a value lunch offer on Sundays — 3 courses for 19 pounds. Wasn’t disappointed. First up was the mussels and that was just sublime. Mussels with garlic and white wine is a pretty standard dish but this was one of the best I’ve had! Next up was the roast Sunday chicken which was just exquisite. Cooked to perfection and went down well with the Argentinean Malbec. The portions were very generous and came with vegetable sides(the sweet carrot dish was unforgettable!) Yorkshire pudding was a cheek touch to add some British flavour. Last but not least was the chocolate tart with vanilla. Oh My!!! And throughout all this, we were really well looked after by the staff, the service is just excellent. I will definitely come back.

Amazing French restaurant and excellent service, a bit pricey but definitely worth it for food that is worthy of a true Parisian experience.

Oh to live near this gem! I fear I’d be here every second day working my way through the classic French menu, with regular indulgences of the fois gras and lashings of wine from the great list. On my visit there was a special of rabbit with a mustard sauce that I just couldn’t pass up. After sharing some fois gras to start, it was impossible to finish the entire dish that also came with mashed potato and my choice of two sides(I went for a mixed salad and the gratin dauphinois not knowing I already got potato with my main!). It was all lovingly made and presented. Of course, there’s always room in the dessert stomach so my dining companions and I shared Crêpe Suzette and the strawberry Soufflé. Both well executed and a sweet end to our meal.

Really cosy atmosphere and friendly staff. They know how to take good care of their customers and make you feel at home. The food is always delicious and prepared with fresh ingredients. I can only say good things about Ma Cuisine and definitely recommend visiting.

I went to Ma Cuisine with my husband and his parents a few weeks ago. My husband is an Executive Chef at a restaurant in Central London, so choosing any restaurant to dine at is a production… to say the least. Ma Cuisine is casual inside with cute checker board tablecloths and wooden chairs. My only complaint about the ambiance is that the tables were extremely close together and it was a bit of struggle to sit down. On the other hand, you could view this as a positive, because there were as many tables crammed into the restaurant as possible, and each one was filled with people on a Tuesday night. Now on to the food. I ordered the French Onion soup to start. A person at a nearby table had a(huge) bowl in front of him, so I decided that I could not resist. Luckily, I was not disappointed in the least. The soup had two big pieces of bread in it, along with some delicious cheese. However, the best part of the soup was that I was actually able to taste all of the spices that were in it. Again, my husband is the Chef not me, so I can’t tell you exactly what I was tasting, however, I can say that the flavors sort of endured on the my tongue longer than expected(in a good way). Also, I can say that all too often soup is served too hot and without any seasoning, as if it was burnt out. That was not the case here. It was delicious and you should definitely order it! After my soup, I ate the Duck for my entrée. Normally, I do not order duck, ever. But since my soup was so yummy, I decided to take a chance and order something out of the blue. It was so good. The skin was crispy, it was not too gamy, and the jus on the plate was the perfect balance of sweet and savoury. Yummy. Also, there was some type of potato hash on the plate that was simply divine. Since I was obviously so focused on my own delicious food, I can not remember exactly what everyone else ate, but I know that we were all very pleased. There was fork swapping going on the entire evening, and we rediscussed the meal the next morning(something that rarely happens in this family). The service was good, not great. They were busy, but our food and wine still arrived in a timely manner. Our server wasn’t exactly the chattiest fellow, but that is not always a bad thing. As I said before, the tables were all full. There were a few couples, but also a lot of families. Not the screaming-kids kind of families, but families with older children who knew how to behave at a restaurant. Since all of the tables were full, and all four of us at our table had delightful meals, I would expect that Ma Cuisine is the type of place that you can go for consistently good food… something that I value very much in a restaurant.

We’ve been to eat here a few times… the service is usually pretty good. Last time we went, it was exceptional… I wasnt a huge fan of the french onion soup. Their bread is delicious. I cant remember the name of the dish i had but it was chicken with onions and mushrooms cooked in a wine sauce that was so so so good. The pork and filet are also great as well. I think they could use a few more items on the menu to give a bit more variety.

Great value an honest well prepared food without shortcuts. Also brilliant in the event you have children(treated really well and eating for free).

French restaurant a short walk from where I live. I have never been let down by the food here, they do a very good french onion soup as well as a great entrecôte with bearnaise sauce. Highly recommended, albeit a bit on the pricy side.

Wonderful French bistro in Kew Village, which always makes me think how lucky I am to live in Kew, as we’re simply spoilt for choice. It’s a great place to while away several hours and tuck into some amazingly hearty and tasty French food. The duck cassoulet is superb as is the crispy pork belly. I agree with the previous reviewer in that the choice for veggies isn’t large, but the staff are very accommodating and were happy to make some of the veggie starters into a main course sized dish.

This is a great authentic French bistro. I tend to visit at lunch times and they have a good fixed price menu at £12.95 for 2 courses, which works out at really good value. When I visited I had tartlet for starter and salmon for main course — both were really yummy. They also bring you crusty bread and butter to go alongside. My only complaint is that the selection of food available for vegetarians is not very wide.

This cosy French bistro in the heart of Kew Village has a quaint atmosphere and is always busy in the evenings. Well-proportioned classic French dishes are on offer at reasonable prices, and the Coq au Vin in particular is a must.
