A great restaurant for a quick, healthy sit down meal if your short on time. The atmosphere isn’t the best on offer in Richmond but they make a great bowl of Raman!

I had met my sister here for a later dinner after a long day in Central London at the museums. The location is upstairs and we were sat right away on a busy Thursday night. My sister got a chicken curry dish and I got the pork ramen bowl. We also got some plum wines to drink with edamame & dumplings for appetizers(those were both pretty good). The service was very attentive and friendly and the food came out fairly quickly after we had ordered. My sister loved her dinner and mine was alright… but then again, I’m a bit of a ramen snob coming from Seattle, but overall it was a decent bowl. The flavor was slightly lacking, but still tasty. Prices weren’t too bad once the bill arrived, either. I’m sure my sister and I would come here again when I’m visiting and I’ll get to try something new from the menu.

Went to Wagamama for the first time in about 5 years and I have to say that the experience didn’t quite live up to memory. The service was good, and portions were big, but the flavour of the food was a little disappointing. Phad Thai was watery, with very little chicken or prawn. The only flavour came from large slices of red chilli, but it lacked the sweetness you expect from phad Thai. Also when we asked the waiter what the sauce was that came with the gyoza he said ‘gyoza sauce’, which wasn’t terribly helpful.

I find it difficult to make grilled duck tasteless but they managed to pull it off. Utterly disappointed with my flavorless grilled duck ramen. I sampled some of my co-workers’ dishes(e.g., pad thai, beef soba) and it was«Meh».

I’m quite a big fan of Wagamama as much as Nandos! :) The one in Richmond is quite nice, maybe a bit too small and far from the station but is something we can not complain too much about it. The service is really good and the guys funny. My first time they got my order wrong and in less than 5minutes he came back with the right one and a lot of apologizes. Really appreciate!

This was the worst pad thai I have eaten in London. How??? There was so much onion, I could hardly taste anything else. Overcooked meat. I am never eating this stuff again. The service was speedy. Hostess/server was very nice and gave me a tea while I waited. Having overpriced, unappetizing food delivered with speed and a smile does not a return visitor make.

Great for piling in, unannounced, with some loud colleagues who have a variety of dietary requirements. Go healthy or deep fried. Carb mad or protein rich(new menu of ribs + beef skewers). Fast food. Good environment. Casual. It works.

I had low expectations coming in especially seeing non-Asian cooks for a japanese restaurant. However, seeing thru the open kitchen the way they handled the wok inspired confidence that the food might be alright. Ordered katsu curry and it turned out oishi(delicious).

always dependable, know what you will get. We always go here when we don’t have much time. The food comes out when ready and not necessarily together, but thats fine. Tasty and quick.

For every Nandos, there is a Wagamama. While Nandos has progressively reduced the quality of its food and increased the prices, Wagamama has maintained and improved what it offers. My first visits to Wagamama were based around being astounded that they offered such great tasting food, unique style of service and portions that were hard to finish — even for me. And if any of my fellow Unilocalers have ever seen me eat, they know that I can put it away! Well, I’m glad to see that Wagamama has carried on doing what they originally did when they started opening in UK. The only difference that I can tell, about how they operate, is that they do not give you as much food here is when they originally launched. Even me, who loves mountains of food will admit that it really was just too much when they used to give you such mountainous portions. Wagamama has also become somewhat of an institution of the UK. I remember taking people here years ago and they would be perplexed by the setup and nature of the canteen style seating, but now it has just become accepted. Now, you would not ever really consider coming to Wagamama on a date now would you? But, you know, I am sure that many people do actually come here on dates and they never question it now, which shows the popularity and acceptance of Wagamama. The juices that they offer here are ever popular, and staples such as chicken Katsu curry and Yaki Soba will always be bashed out of the kitchen and gobbled up without any question. I commend Wagamama on their ability to create new and exciting dishes on their special men menu while maintaining the great standard menu and not putting on too much onto the price. The staff here always seem to be trained to a good standard and I’m sure that Wagamama do a lot of work in this area to ensure consistency among branches. All of the people who work in the Wagamama outlets do seem to be new to the country, and English never seems to be their first language, but nonetheless, quality never suffers and they all work hard and have a great, friendly attitude. I do love Wagamama is oh-so-much and long may they continue to provide great levels of service and amazing food at reasonable prices. The Richmond restaurant exemplifies all of these cornerstones of the Wagamama business and delivers them in a very nicely naturally lit environment on the second floor, overlooking Richmond high street.

Absolutely loved this place! This was my first Wagamama experience and it definitely will not be my last! From entering it was quite busy and I could tell the restaurant was very popular. We didn’t have a long wait at all and the staff were very friendly offering us a nice table and asking to fetch us drinks. It was great being able to see the chefs as they were cooking behind us in the open-plan kitchen. When the food arrived it was hot and very tasty — oishii desu! Overall, the staff were lovely and attentive, and I would recommend this restaurant to all you Qypers. The building is very modern and yet still exudes oriental charm in an effortless way. Upon leaving we didn’t have to wait for long our bill(like is the case in many other restaurants) and left with satisfaction in our stomachs! Thanks Wagamama! :D

Same menu as all the other wagas. I personally really like the food and love how fast everything is. Not exactly a spot for a relaxing meal, but a great place to take kids which it is full on on the weekends.

A noodle bar but not like any I have experienced in Asia. For those of you who know the chain this is a carbon copy on the food and service. For those of you who have never tried it is worth a visit. Dependable but will never set the world on fire. If you are in a hurry probably give it a miss. Note: Beware of the shared tables and benches, it’s not to everyones taste.

Wagamamas is a very average fake Japanese/Chinese style mix of food. The food is ok — I would stick to the noodles with soup, rather than their slightly adventurous, eclectic mix of stir fried ramen noodles with curry sauce and lemongrass shavings.(My Japanese friends will not eat here) The restaurant can be somewhat crowded(although quite spacious for a Wagamamas), it is well lit, but not too noisy venue. It’s best for cheap lunches than a dinner. It’s best value when there are 2 for 1 meals from voucher sites(just google it).

Good value, first floor restauant, usually very busy. The chain is known to all, so it’s the usual menu and format. Friendly staff, altogether worth trying for a fun and quick meal.

Pretty much what you would expect from this well-known chain, with noodles and soup, rice dishes, side dishes such as fried dumplings available. Nothing outstanding, but at least you can be confident that the food is going to be reasonably tasty and fresh. This particular branch is located on the first floor of its building but the large number of mums with their outsized prams congregating around the tables tells you that the lift is in good working order.
