Gordon’s Bistro is the main restaurant /café /bistro serving Gordon Rigg Garden Centre in Rochdale, and my experience was dreadful, to the point where I am shocked I have just got round to leaving the review, as my experience here was around November 15th2015. Excited, I know Gordon’s Bistro is good for gluten free with a good selection of cakes, so I queued, they were extremely busy and they was only one queue for getting food, and drinks and paying, which meant I had to queue in a totally different part for carvary, before getting round to where I needed to go, which meant queuing for half an hour. I waited and waited, no one offered to come over and apologize, I never got a simple«Sorry» too, they never tried to speed up the queue, or even tried to move me to the front so I didn’t have to wait for one person to be served, there food to be cooked etc and move up, the whole system was ridiculous. After over half an hour, I knew they was at least 10 minutes of queuing before I even got to pay and my coffee and cake, but I just gave up, which meant after such a long period of time of ½ an hour, just getting up and leaving, no member of staff batted an eye lid or even shown one string of sympathy, and when I tried to complain in the store at the checkout of the Garden Centre, which was surprisingly quiet, Theresa, the checkout assistant just laughed at me, like I didn’t have the right to complain and she found it funny, she didn’t process it in any seriousness whatsoever, so I feel this place is one to Avoid at all costs, especially at busy times. I bet even Santa at the front of the store turns up late too!!!
