Sad to say, after a year or so we returned to this pub only to be disappointed… The menu has been stripped of local/signature dishes and we later found out the place is now owned by Fullers. It changed hands in Jan 2015 and they stopped honouring the ‘Delicious Dining’ rewards at the end of February. Not only the menu had suffered but the service was lacklustre and so was the food. Prices for starters range from £5−8 and mains from £11−15. Frankly, this is not value for money. If you’ve never been before it’s an ok place to eat but if you’ve been here in it’s glory days, it’s a real let down. We had 3 drinks, 1 starter and 2 mains for just under £47. Meh … I’m used to better.
