The Brew House Hotel

Good cocktails, pleasant bar staff, ‘trendy’ décor.

Love this restaurant !!! Super Funky interior design, excellent bar to meet friends at, food fantastic, staff very friendly, overall great atmosphere. It’s a bit tucked away between the High Street and Pantiles so not great for parking. A hidden gem for cool trendys of TWells.

I have been wanting to visit the Brew House for ages and finally managed to this weekend for a celebratory birthday cocktail, I ordered a perkaset, warning — one sip and hello I’m drunk! No it isn’t cheap, £6−8 a cocktail, but they are gorgeous and these were proper cocktails, not a watered down vodka and orange ‘sunrise’ in sight.
The bar was exactly what I was looking for, a classy place for a slightly more mature crowd, plenty of seating and prompt service for a modest sized party. It made a lovely change to the countless birthdays I have spent in the centre of town surrounded by questionable 18 year olds and you will be hard pressed to find better cocktails in Tunbridge Wells. I strongly recommend!

I stayed at the Brew House. truth is, call me sad, but we stayed there because we were considering fitting switchable/​intelligent glass as walls in our house. Strange but they have some rooms in this Hotel fitted with it, so we thought we would check it out.
Firstly, when reviewing Hotels you have to consider what you spend and what you get. Spend hundreds… expect a lot. Spend modestly, have modest expectations. Brewhouse very modern contemporary feel to it, all the basics there, rooms fine, bathrooms fine… er, it was fine. It was not blow me away fine but i did not pay blow me away money either.
The restaurant bar area has some very unusual some would say strange light fittings? Spent a good part of the evening trying to decide if i liked them. I kep saying it was modern it was contemporary, but all ballanced up, still dont think i liked them. Food was fine, again just fine. Not blow me away wow that was great, but at the risk of repeating myself not amazing, but neither was the price.
All balanced up, would i go again, probably not, i like more of a luxurious feel to my Hotel rooms. Rooms there are almost a bit industrial for my liking. None the less a pleasant enough stay, just not enough to entice me back. Nothing to whinge about other than i am always looking for something a bit special a bit serious for my Hotel rooms and dining out expierience. the Brewhouse i feel provides for modest rooms and ok dining but nothing to blow you away.

Wow! I thought I knew my adopted home town well! How did I ever manage to NOT come here since it opened maybe 1 or 2 years ago? Surely this is TWs best venue? I’ve seen them all & we’ve loads of great places but this is beautifully presented with a fantastically cool bar and well drilled service — a major find indeed. It’s close to the Pantiles & opposite Thorins in Warwick Park & this should be your first call if you are having a classy night out in town. Check out their website for all the info but, take it from me, GO! Excellent place. I guess they’ve a tasty boutique hotel too but didn’t visit. Hotel du Vin — watch out!
