Rovers Return is a pretty great bar! We came in because we saw that they’d be showing the SuperBowl. Seems like a good place to watch sports games.
Had the StrongBow Dark Fruit cider for £3.30 but also some beers (Old Speckled Hen and others) for only £2!
Free Wifi – ask the bartender for the password.
Friendly folks work the bar – we felt instantly welcome. My friends and I enjoyed our time and would definitely come back.

If you’re looking for a chill traditional English pub, Rover’s Return should be on the top of your list. Located close to the Salford Central tram station, it’s a neighborhood bar that’s near city centre and the University of Salford. The prices can’t be beat (~ £2−3 a pint), and it offers a nice ambiance and an impressive selection of ales.
The owners really take care of you — from letting you pick your sport of choice on tv to making genuine conversation to get to know you better — they really made me feel special.
There’s live music on the weekends and although their kitchen will open soon, you’re encouraged to bring in your own food (there’s a take-​out place next door). Bottom line, it’s a place that strives to make you feel as comfortable as possible so that you’re as happy as possible. And that is why I’ll definitely be back!

Excellent atmosphere and very friendly staff. Made me feel like a local in one night. A part of the real Salford in Manchester city centre. Loved it.

The Rovers return is situated near the lowry hotel and the Edge living accommodation in Salford they provide a bed and Breakfast and is run by a couple from the area, the pub is very traditional, the beer is reasonably priced with the Manchester prices, They provide Bed and Breakfast.
There is no live entertainment but the locals will provide you with that, there is a great atmosphere in the pub and the locals make you feel very welcome there is Juke box which you can you use and also a pool table.
The atmosphere is cosy and would suit the over 25years, the bar staff are friendly.
