This location is amazing, as so is the vast majority of England if your not from around there. The city of Scarborough is to the west of the Castle and the North Sea sorrounds the rest. The views are breath taking and if you go on a hot summer english day you can almost feel like your in Spain. It can get a bit crowded now and then but over all the grownds are large enough that you can enjoy the vast open spaces and hundreds if not thousand year old buildings. There are also several knight graves scattered about but there at floor level so if you’re not looking down you might step on one and miss it all together. Great ways to take in the English medieval history of this location is the exhibitions and the tea room in the Master Gunner’s House, live action events throughout the summer, and an audio tour that talks about the fascinating 2,500 castle history. A must see in North Yorkshire!
