Went in here to have lunch after a long boring bus journey on a warm day. Had fish and chips and peas. Lovely! Fish was white and had a nice crispy batter. Chips lovely. Garden peas completed the meal tasty as always. Staff were friendly and the restaurant clean. Left feeling a lot more contented than when I arrived!
In fact the restaurant offers much more than just fish and chips. There is a wide ranging menu covering pizzas and paninis and lots of other popular meals.
Will be returning! Excellent fish and chips.

quick service, to fire you out the door as quick as they can total rip off if your sitting in £1 extra on every single/supper we were only in for 20mins a family of 5 would pay £5 just for the privelige of sittin in there wee pokey seats. how much can it cost for some fairy liquid to clean 3 plates and they ripped me off with my change either that or there cans of coke are £2 each. £3 change from a £20 note for 2 smokey suppers 1 single smokey and 2 cans of coke! wont be back

Been going to the Rainbow since I was kneehigh to a grasshopper. All chippies are marked against this place. From the smell of warm newspaper and brown paper nestling blisteringly hot fresh chips, smothered in local brown sauce, to the options of fish, deep fried pizza, haggis, spring rolls etc. It’s my little slice of heaven.

This is a nice place whether you want to sit down to eat or just get a take away. The food is always nice and the prices are reasonable. You can get a good variety of meals.
It can be a bit hectic at school lunch time with all the school kids hanging around outside, so best to avoid for this hour if you can, but other times it is a very nice place, and their chips are lovely.
