An excellent room, spotlessly clean with a TV, tea/coffee and biscuits, and an en-suite shower and toilet. Free car parking and a very good full English breakfast made this a B&B to be commended. My wife and I had made an impromtu turn-off to Beer on the way to Dorset and were delighted to discover this wonderful little fishing village tucked away on the Devon coast. What made our find so special was the one night vacancy at Holmesdale that enabled us to stay and enjoy the village and surrounding area to the full. Beer is still a working fishing village and seems to enjoy the addition of a sailing club that consists of beautiful traditional tan-sailed gaff-rigged sailing boats that graced the water in their preparations for a coming regatta week. The people of Beer were all very friendly and have not yet lost their sense of community or humour. Good Pubs and restaurants that have not forgotten how to prepare and serve fresh local food What an amazing place.
