Cafe Ceres

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The food and coffee were delicious so I highly recommend.

The full English breakfast is really tasty and not greasy at all. My only criticism is that they use Daddies brown sauce instead of HP.

A French-​inspired café, run by a French couple (if I recall correctly). I say inspired because they’re catering to the British in many ways, such as including baked beans in some of their dishes.
Nevertheless, we love this place! The food is phenomenal, for the most part. Ignore anything that sounds more British (e.g. the baked beans) and go for anything that sounds like they make it from scratch (their omelets, sauteed mushrooms, etc) and you won’t go wrong! The food is also well-​priced and comes out piping hot.
The ambiance of the café is great! It feels like an artsy place, with fun murals on the walls in their outdoor seating area.
The only reason it gets four stars instead of five is service — their service is adequate, but it feels inattentive and some times you need to flag down a member of the staff to get a drink or the bill.
On the whole, we’ve been here before, we will definitely return, and we recommend it for anyone who wants a good breakfast. Beware — they’re closed on Sunday! :(

Lovely little place breakfast looked gorgeous. Lunches are nice and does operate as a Bistro on certain evenings. Staff very friendly

This is a gorgeous little place which has an exquisitely welcoming feel. The food is French influenced and the staff are very friendly and accommodating of children.
In the day it is a café but on Friday and Saturday nights they open up as a Bistro. I’ve only been in the day so I can’t comment on the evenings, but I’m dying to go to one.
