I went at 2pm and me and my dad were the only people there but I’m sure it becomes a bit more lively during dinner-​time. As for the food I ordered their special noodle dish. The portion was large and the price was fair. Nothing wrong at all with the restaurant.

There’s a vast choice on the menu, incorporating a mixture of Thai, Chinese and Japanese. none of which was particularly good. The sauces tasted like store-​bought ones and roast pork was chewy as opposed to being soft and moist. Nothing special and it will be a one– off visit for me and my friends.

I’ve been to East 1 two or three times and would happily return. The food is good, there is a wide range of choice and the prices are very low indeed. Probably the best part of a visit here, though, is the service, which is excellent. The restaurant offers a decent wine list, which compliments the food nicely. Not a traditional or formal restaurant, but comfortable enough to visit with friends.

as long as you don’t treat this place like a restaurant you’ll be ok.
Whatever you order will come when it’s ready. There’s no concept of starters, main courses, puddings. It all comes whenever it’s ready and you have to put up with that.
Food is good quality though but I wouldnt say it’s particularly cheap.

Ate here on Friday night, 4 adults and two 4 year olds. Very good cheap eat. Portions are a good size, bill was £50 for all of us (no alcohol), Long bench seats, nothing fancy but well worth a visit. Will definitely go again.

This is a great noodle bar in the city centre. It is slightly hidden away on the west one flats complex and opposite vodka revolution.
The interior is basic and the tables are benches but its great place to go for a quick bite.
The prices are reasonable and the menu is a mixture of soups, noodles or rice dishes. The portions are extremely generous as well as being delicious. The service is good and attentive, the food is freshly cooked so there is a chance of delays between people’s food coming out.
They are not pushy and do not rush you out once you have finished either.
They do lunch time menu as well with slightly small portions as well.
Overall a good place to eat.

One of mine and my work colleagues regular haunts, one of the best noodle bars in Sheffield. Really good value for money, massive portions. Food is cooked fresh while you wait and it is delicious. They also do take away, which, if I live in town, I would certainly be taking advantage of.

A huge range of choice; from noodles in soup, wok fried noodles, rice dishes, noodle and sauce dishes. Most of the choices are spicy. The platefuls are huge and the prices are not at all bad at 6 – 10 for a main meal. There is a good vegetarian choice and it doesn’t take long to get your food once ordered. The only real problem i’ve noticed is that it can be very cold in East1 as they have swing doors that customers often hold open, and they cannot be very draught proof.
Overall very nice.
