This is modelled on the same style as Holiday Inn Express. £61 per night, and including breakfast. I’m giving it 4 stars as I’m comparing with similar types of hotels, and not 4 star or 5 star establishments. Checking in was simple, and no complaints. The room was spacious, and bathroom spotless. I liked the size of the shower, and the shower gels available was a good touch. I found the bath towels a bit on the small size, but it achieved the result. One of the towels was extremely thin, and the fluffy type is better, of which there was one. The room had aircon. Complimentary tea and coffee. Also the use of an ironing board and iron in the room is ace. The bed linen was very clean, the pillows provided a good head support. There was also a mattress protector. Although, inspecting the mattress reveal brown stains across the whole mattress, not sure how these were caused. The bed still smelt fresh with the clean linen. There is a good simple selection for breakfast. I suspect all the hot food is put in a microwave Bacon, Sausage, Scrambled Egg, Sauté Potatoes, and Beans. The scrambled eggs were quite awful. The other things that let the hot food down was that there were only cold plates. A good selection fruit juices, and the orange juice was overly sweet, like you sometimes encounter. Do your own toast was available. Checking out was simple, and would have been simpler if they had been provided with my loyalty card membership number. On another review site there are extremely mixed reviews from poor to excellent. My colleagues like staying at this hotel when in the area, and I would return too.
