While Morrison’s store’s are always clean and tidy as you would expect. The Sidcup store has the added bonus of being like an OAP version of the dawn of the dead. Walking around the store you fee like you want to look for an escape to the roof so you can be whisked away from the OAP zombie hordes.

Morrisons of Sidcup has a large free car park, but I often find it very difficult to get a space. There always seem to be lots of people clammering for a few spaces and I’ve never quite understood why. Sometimes there’s a bit of a queue at the traffic lights to actually get out of the car park as well, and this does occasionally put me off coming here. The store itself stocks a wide selection of goods, including some when it’s gone it’s gone type offers, though I often find it crowded with long queues at the checkouts. The aisles could do with being a bit wider, it seems they’ve crammed a lot into a smallish space. The offers are good though and the prices are good, which is why I keep going back!

Morrisons Sidcup used to be Safeways. It’s a large store with lots of free parking which is also handy for the high street. Personally I don’t really like shopping there as they don’t stock a lot of my favorite brands and I find it expensive at times. Sometimes the staff can be a bit off too. But all in all a good local place to shop.

Morrison’s is a decent little supermarket, they have a wide selection of fresh foods, their deli counters are very good with their selection of cooked meats and offer what could be used as a takeaway with precooked chicken, the southern fried chicken breasts in particular are noteworthy! They also have a salad bar here which is decent, one of the squash as much as you can into the little plastic box things :) They aren;t the cheapest when you compare them to the ASDA and Tesco’s, but like most they have special offers that can rival anywhere, some very good ones on booze occasionally. They also have a coffee shop in here and an entertainment section, it’s the best supermarket in the middle of sidcup really, better than the somerfields, the tesco’s is a bit of a drive and asda is much further so it’s not a bad choice.

This store has only been built in recent years, formerly Safeway, it is the only large supermarket in the area. It is a well kept store with ample parking. It has a decent selection of fresh fruit and veg and live plants. The selection of freshly baked cakes is excellent. I admit that I usually search for the special offers, e.g. BOGOF, they have recently been offering buy one get two free on soft drinks and Pringles which is great for Christmas. As I travel on public transport it can be a fair walk to the bus stop when loaded with shopping.
