Fox & Pheasant

Visited this traditional carvery offering three times now and have been pleasantly surprised by the quality and the price. Each time I have tried a different beer and that has added to the experience. Thinking about it just realised I haven’t actually tried the meats as yet. The specials have got to me each time especially the steak pie. Wife has made up for me though and she rates the cooking and I do enjoy the selection of veggies and always have a Yorkshire pud with everything. What else can you say about a carvery? If it is nicely done, well cooked and good sized portions you can’t go far wrong.
Plenty of parking, nice friendly staff, good service and the atrium setting is very pleasant. Always looks to be clean although the retro chic décor is not really my thing.
Don’t have any problems ever calling in here for a meal and would recommend it wholeheartedly.

I’ve been here a number of time and for a traditional English carvery, this is the place to go. For a very reasonable price, you get a choice of three very well cooked meats and as many vegetables as you can get on your plate, doused in lovely gravy!
Slightly out of the way, and easy to miss on a cold dark winter’s night, but definitely worth seeking out.
