Giovani’s is the first pizza place we’ve tried in the area. They deliver to the Maidenhead area and have pretty good reviews on JustEat, so we figured it was worth a try. We ordered a Hawaiian pizza, some kind of sausage-heavy pizza, and some jalapeño poppers. The pizzas tasted okay, but nothing like London chain Basilico where we used to order. The thin crust resembles Neapolitan style, the thick crust is more America. What would’ve probably made my pizza better would be to have higher quality ham(this was kind of shredded), and to offer buffalo mozzarella cheese. I also thought that for £1.50 extra for onion, there should be more than a few thin pieces of onion. The jalapeño poppers tasted good, and I would definitely order them again. I think one thing that impacted the quality of the pizzas was the time it took to get them to our house. They were pretty soggy and luke warm. That really is in no way Giovani’s fault. Our house is hard to find, and we are probably on the far side of their delivery perimeter. So I will give our experience three stars, and say that the pizzas are probably better if you live nearby in Slough.
