This place is a like mecca for the local drunks — these local drinkers emerge from this drinking den once in a while to bear their disheveled appearances to us normal folk passing by when they go for a smoke. Some with red flushes faces from the copious amount of alcohol they’ve been consuming whilst inside. This places opens bright and early, 9am, to ensure that those who enjoy all day drinking can start in earnest. I’ve not ventured inside for some of the aforementioned reasons, hence don’t actually know what it might be like inside but to be honest, I don’t think I’m missing out on much. Call me superficial but sometimes it’s what on the outside that counts ;)

This is a nice pub, very bright, simple and breezy. The bar is long and so not too crowded. During the day this pub has a steady stream of customers and in the evening can get busy. There are quite a lot of tables so you will always get one in the day and sometimes in the evening. The bar staff are friendly and helpful.
The food menu is pretty good actually. It has a range of burgers, salads, pastas and also curry’s which are very niceall at reasonable prices. There is a good range of drinks too. Wetherspoons never used to play music but i think they do now. Either way the atmosphere has always been nice in both the day and the evening.
