Knowle Fish Bar Fish Chips

Not the best fish n chips around. both Hockley Heath and Balsall Common are considerably better. It survives on over priced average quality due to its location.

This is a superb little fish and chip shop which is situated just off the main strip /​high street of Knowle.
Not surprisingly it was busy for a Friday night, so much so that the queue was almost out the door! Which is always a good sign I suppose!
The takeaway menu has plenty of options and I thought prices were fairly reasonable — £4.20 for cod and haddock and £2.20 for large chips. They do pies, kebabs, battered mushroom kebabs, chicken burgers and saveloys and the usual accompaniments of mushy peas and curry sauce.
The staff here are well organised at busy periods and are very efficient and quick in taking your order, ensuring the queue moves along.
The fish was lovely and the chips were not soggy which is always a Brucey bonus! The curry sauce was pretty darn good too.
Wouldn’t hesitate in returning for a naughty treat!
