This is a great, traditional Indian restaurant. For a traditional style curry in a very friendly, relaxed yet elegant atmosphere look no further … this is your place. Contemporary ‘fashionable’ of the minute Indian food, as served by India Dining @ Warlingham Green is great … but we all know the traditional curry’s that first captured our love for Indian cuisine and Diwana doesn’t disappoint ! With really friendly and attentive service, great selection of beers and a lovely winelist too their curries are second to none. If you’re in the area and looking for somewhere lovely to eat, or want to get a take out … Diwana won’t let you down.

Diwana, up in Sanderstead, is about a million years old, and I think that says as much about the place as anything can(I remember being able to smell them cooking up delights when I used to go to Guides in the hut just behind the restaurant). It’s got a very solid reputation in the area, and that’s down to the quality of the food, which has always been very tasty. Being in South Croydon, we don’t often venture in this direction for dinner as we have so much directly on our doorstep, but if I take Mum out we’ll often go here. Parking’s usually not too bad and the restaurant itself is comfy and traditional.

A long established Indian restauraunt, Diwanas cooks Indian food at it’s best. There’s a good choice of vegetarian options with Bhel Pouria, lassis and dosas being just one of few tasty snacks. There’s always good service and friendly staff. Diwana’s is fantastic and popular because of their delicious, cheap food.
