A huge Asda in Hamilton that is open 24 hours(apart from 2−5am Fri, Sat and Sun) which keeps changing its layout every time I go. It’s near the Vue Cinema, and is a good shout for snacks and supplies before catching a movie. There’s a great range of George clothes, with a modest home section and a dizzying array of magazines. The food is mostly excellent, as you would expect with a great bakery section. Always busy, at all times of the day.

During the day this can be a very busy shop. Usually there aren’t enough staff available to cover all the tills. Rarely have I had much in the way of customer service when the George Counter has been open. I avoid Asda if at all possible during the day. However, after 8pm at night staff seem to have changed over. Those on Customer Service are usually very helpful and the later you go the more friendly they are. One major drawback shopping later on is that the store may not be busy with customers, but it will be full of trolleys and staff re-packing shelves.

This store is open round the clock and it seems to be busy for the majority of the time. They sell clothes which are to the right as you walk in along with some toys, magazines, cards, party bags, cds, etc. They have a good range of fruit and vegetables. It is well stocked and the products are well laid out making it a lot easier to find what your looking for. They sell everything from shampoo to make up to washing powder etc. The staff i have always found to be friendly and the addition of the self scanning machines have helped with the size of the queues.

Asda in Hamilton was a life saver when it first opened, where else could you go and buy a pint of milk and a loaf of bread at two o’clock in the morning? However as the years have progressed the cracks have began to show. I have found that the shelves are not very well stacked and half the time you leave without half the shopping that you had originally came in for. This supermarket is extremely busy and hence the reason why the shelves are not very well stacked. It has a restaurant which can be a hit or a miss, it’s good if you want to grab a quick bite before your shopping but the service is not very good. Half the time there is no-one serving or the tables are not cleaned. This Asda store also does the George clothes as well as DVD’s, cd’s games, toys, and Asda home, just like the grocery shopping it never seems to be very well stocked. The checkouts are usualy half full and some of the staff can be less helpful. I tend to avoid Hamilton Asda unless it’s really necessary.

I use this store every Sunday and although it is a very busy day the shelves are always well stocked and are being re-stocked as you walk round. I have been to other stores where if you get there after 7 oclock at night you cannot get a single loaf of bread but thats definetly not the case here. The shop is well laid out too which helps me as I am very forgetful and would forget too many things if I had to search for them! There is a great selection of cd’s and dvd in this store and also a big selection of books and magazines. The only complaint I would have is that the clothes section isn’t very big but I can live with that! There are plenty of check outs and they are always all open for you to use. The best thing about this asda is that it is open 24 hours so you can go anytime day or night!
