To be fair, people that like this kind of place love the small cubicles selling the stuff that you wonder who on earth would buy. Me though? Not the place I’d ever want to go back to.

This is full of interesting little shops my favourite by far being the cake baking/decorating shop which has everthingvyou could possibly need to create beautiful cakes and buns including the largest range of edible dusts I’ve ever seen!

As a child I was forced to go to this place when it was a church, so there was no love lost from me when it closed down and eventually became the land of green ginger. Brimming in character the building has had a range of different tenants over the years all of which bring something different to the place. In a world being taken over by corporate clone shops in every high street this is a breath of fresh air. The presence of various Supergran props in the building, filmed in Tynemouth in the 1980’s adds a nice surreal touch. Well worth a visit any day of the week just to see them!

If you want a shopping experience with a difference then this is for you. For a start it’s a little shopping center housed in a converted church and it’s quirky name adds to it’s appeal. You won’t find the usual shops here but some very individual little shops that offer something different and more personal. There’s a realy nice café worth a visit on it’s own. Set in the lovely seaside village of Tynemouth it’s well worth a visit.
