We’ve been eating at this restaurant for seven years, but a recent downturn means we will never eat there again. By being greedy and attempting to expand their table numbers, the quality has plummeted as a result. A good restaurant should turn people away.
Little/​no waiter service, overcooked/​burnt food, obscene wait for a table, plates not taken away for 15 minutes, 45 minute wait between courses, no deserts offered at all, no wine bucket, dishes forgotten.
It’s a great shame as it used to be a great restaurant, but obviously the arrogance of the owners has lead to greed and complacency which ultimately affects the quality of the experience, as well as the food.

Having been to the Butchers Arms several times already this year and hope to be going again very soon I can only say it is just lovely, the ambiance is delightful, wonderful food, excelent service, a conservatory, leading on to a beautiful garden for after dinner drinks and coffee topped up for as long as required, No one is ever rushed, somewhere you want to keep returning to time after time.

This is a more than a meal out — it is the whole evenings experience that you get here. We visits when visiting friends in the area and it never fails to please. Set out in the country you arrive and enter to the right into the bar with a huge inglenook fireplace. After getting your pre dinner drink you are given plenty time to decide on your choice from the menu and are thenleft to enjoy the drink until your meal is ready. The meal is served by silver service and the staff are absolutely attentive and very well mannered. After your meal coffee and liquers are served in the conservatory. In the summer there is a beautiful terrace where you can sit and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

The most wonderful restaurant set in the midlands. Serves portuguese inspired food that is just superb. Service is second to none, food exceptional and there is a wonderful wine list.
No being ushered out after your meal as you can enjoy an after dinner drink in the lovely conservatory out back.
