This is one of those places you’ll never find unless you’re looking for it, the Boozy Rouge is sandwiched by the Bargate between Lush and Maplin, as you go downstairs into this unique restaurant! I was invited here for a friend’s leaving party, there was a party of about 20 of us and as soon as we arrived we were welcomed as old friends, and drinks were flowing and the staff helped create a great atmosphere for us all. The menu was eccentric, fancy named dishes, but absolutely wonderful tasting food, we had starters of garlic bread, and it was home baked wholemeal bread not toasted to death, still soft with some bite with a really tasty garlic butter on it, I’ve never forgotten how nice it was! On the whole a little pricey for an average meal but worth the expense in my opinion and the staff are great!
