Chiquito

Although its a chain the food they service is of a good quality, just the right side of spicy and nicely presented. The fajitas are always ace and its great to hear them sizzling on the plate as they come out. I love Mexican food and the does tick all the boxes.
Only slight gripe is that the pudding menu is a little limited

I visited Chiquito in Ocean Village a couple of weeks ago with a friend for a late dinner. The server who seated us was friendly and chatty. Our drink orders were taken quickly and arrived quickly. When we ordered our food, I was told that they had run out of steak fajitas. We both ordered starters
and chicken fajitas. My friends starter of chicken, bacon and avocado salad was lovely apparently but my prawn cocktail was swimming in cocktail sauce which completely drowned the flavour of the prawns and leaves. Our fajitas
were served sizzling hot however and were delicious. I would have prefered to see guacamole as a side with the salsa and sour cream rather than grated cheese though… Our bill was £43 for two courses each with soft drinks
and also a glass of wine each. I might return if I were having a craving for mexican. Incidentally the atmosphere was very nice, the music at the right level and it had a good feeling to the place. The staff seemed quite happy and relaxed.

I have been here a few times before and it is one of my favourite place to eat. There is a good range of food on the menu and the food is of great quality and cooked very well. The staff are very friendly and fun and they go out of their way to make you have a great time. The decoration is very Spanish and Mexican and ties in very well with the food and staff. They layout is very good and never seems crowded. They offer cocktails on the menu which is a nice touch and their deserts are to die for. This is definitely a place to go when you want a decent meal at a very decent price.

I’ve been here a couple of times while I was living nearby. The food and the service here have always been very good. Its good for parties, and people often celebrate birthdays here. They do a nice range of cocktails which are ideal with this type of food.
The menu is a standard mexican one: burritos, enchiladas, Nachos, Tacos, Fajitas, Burgers, Steaks, etc. They’re all quite good. It’s really a restaurant for meat eaters!
For desert, I would highly recommend the banana Taquito, which is really really good.
Overall, its not too expensive, and is good value for money.
