krispy kreme

These are rather nice doughnuts but not worth the money! They were rather nice when they were giving them away when the shop opened.
Not sure whether I’d choose to go back! A very US invention.

I was really looking forward to trying a Krispie Kreme as everyone always raves about them but was very disappointed. I have tried the glazed and chocolate/​custard ones and found both ridiculously sweet. The chocolate topping was more like icing sugar with a bit of coco mixed in. My local spa stocks much nicer and cheaper ones. If you go to most Tescos in Southampton you can get a box of KK doughnuts for £5 less than in the shop.

I was so happy when Krispy Kreme came to the UK and even happier when they opened a shop in Southampton. Best doughnuts ever! My personal favourites are the Apple Cinnamon, the Original Glazed and the Maple Glazed. The shop itself is spotlessly clean and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Before Christmas they were selling cards that had a voucher for twelve free original glazed doughnuts but the cards were like gold dust and were selling out as fast as they were coming in. I called the shop twice and the manager couldn’t have been more helpful. He offered to collect cards from another store for me and when they too sold out, he saved two sets of cards from the next batch that was sent to Southampton. They really do understand the meaning of customer service.

I knew that there has been a krispy kreme in Harrods in London for some time, but I couldn’t be bothered to go to London every time I wanted a nice donut, dont have the time or money! Very happy when krispy kreme opened down here, although my girlfriends tries to stop me from going too often.
The donuts and coffee that one can buy there, are very nice, coffee being better than most places around Southampton. There is a wide range of donuts to choose from, but as the others have mentioned the prices are fairly high. The staff working there are always nice and friendly.
Only reason for not getting 5 stars is the price of the donuts.

Krispy Kreme is one of my favourite places (along with Hotel Chocolate and Borders). The coffee isn’t that great, although I do enjoy their iced coffees but the donuts are fabulous. My friend and I often (although not often enough in my opinion!) treat ourselves to a donut and coffee after a
shopping trip. The Manager in the store is really friendly. He offered us hats for my friends kids the last time we were there. We usually try and experiment on different donuts but I have to admit my favourite is the Original (try heating it in a microwave for 10 secs at home). The store is opposite Waterstones on the lower level of West Quay shopping centre and only has limited seating so if you want to sit down and relax try and miss lunchtime as it does get a little full.

Best donuts in the whole world! I first tried them in America and ever since then I have been hooked. I was so excited when they came to the UK and then Southampton.

Small store with seating however lots of choice. My favourites include Glazed Raspberry filled, Maple and Glazed Lemon filled. You can buy them individually but you can also buy them in dozen boxes which are good for parties.
Yes the prices are high but it is so worth it. They also sell coffees and hot chocs .and you can also get Krispy Kreme’s at Tesco Burseldon.

I liked the doughnuts here and thought they had quite a good range but they are very expensive and the doughnuts themselves tasted nice but I didn’t think amazing or that they were any nicer than 30p doughnuts from the supermarket.

it would be more stars but the prices are high! but the dough nuts are the best!!!
