As a hungry horse pub you get the usual daily deals and drinks offers but the food is very hit and miss. The service is good and the pub is large with an eclectic mix of furniture and some great art on the walls; portraits of famous faces for sale by a local artist. On a Saturday my brother had a disappointing visit with pasta mixed in with his chips with his burger, and the complimentary dessert turned out to be very stale cake. On the flip side, we had a fabulous Sunday lunch with all the family with steaks cooked rare and medium as requested, just a shame they were a bit tough and under seasoned. However, for £20 a head for a steak dinner with two drinks and a ice-cream sundae for dessert, it’s reasonable and I will likely eat there again.
