Premier Inn West Quay

Great Premier Inn. Room a good size and includes a sofa, air conditioning, quiet, comfy bed, modern and very clean and this Premier Inn is situated in a great easy location for the shopping mall and harbour for the cruise ships. Has FREE Wifi. You can also buy Ben and Jerry’s icecream from vending machine at this Premier Inn plus there is another vending machine with coke, chocolate etc. You can even have breakfast at this one and I must admit I am very fussy about food but my the bacon was amazing so full of flavour best I have had in a long time. Staff are also very friendly and welcoming at this one. I will definitely stay there again on my next visit when I am going on my next cruise from Southampton.

Stayed here one night before cruise. Location is convenient to both the Southampton Central train station and the cruise port. Room is very clean, quiet, and modern. Air conditioning is a real plus… many hotels at this price don’t have A/​C. Has FREE wifi. I love the deep bathtub! The staff is helpful and friendly. I’m very happy that I chose this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

I stayed at this hotel for one night prior to a cruise. Check in was quick and easy. Room was very clean and quiet with comfortable beds. The restaurant and bar were very good. The only drawback was that a relative tried to call me at the hotel and was told that calls could not be transferred to the guest rooms from the front desk. I did receive a handwritten message from the front desk informing me of who called and why. West Quay shopping mall is just down the street and has numerous shops and restaurants (also a Marks and Spencer where you can purchase groceries, wine, beer, liquor, etc.). I felt very safe walking to and from the mall. The taxi from the hotel to the cruise port cost around five pounds.

This hotel is very expensive for what you get. At 170 euros per night the room does not even include a phone in the room, so you cannot call the front desk or get a wake up call. The room also has no clock or alarm. The view from my room was an ugly dirt lot. No Internet either. The room has dispensers for your soap both at the bathroom sink and shower. There was nothing covering the glasses provided in the room. There is no refrigerator. The room is overall very plain without much to appreciate.
