Wonderful bit of nature. Great day for a long walk. You might run into some of the ponys as well. My family really enjoyed the feeling of nature.

On a recent stay in the New Forest, visited Otter and Owl Wildlife centre. Visited with elderly relative, who found gradient telling. Glad for the seating to sit and rest, while I walked round the owl enclosure. Otters made quick appearance. Really enjoyed the butterfly house. Excellent variety to try and capture on camera. Café served basic line in refreshments. Designated disabled parking with good access.

If you are ever driving through New Forest, do yourself a favour and make a pit stop here! It is a great little place in the middle of the woodland dedicated to owls and otters and they even have a few other animals to see there.
You have to walk everywhere but there are clear professional signs to help you on your way. We saw quite a lot of animals we’ve never seen before such as the Scottish Wildcats and a few different species of Otters. amazing stuff.
There is an area where you walk through where you can see kangaroes and a couple of deers that come up right to you and will nibble on a zip or your shoulder bag. It was quite entertaining. The park is open throughout the year and not expensive at all.
There is a small café where you can get hot drinks and a nice cooked meal with very decent prices go on, you know you want to go!

Really nice day out for the whole family. Not so great if you cannot walk too far or if its raining as most of it is outside.
Chance to meet otters up close and see them feeding and have a deer follow you round the forest. See foxes and badgers etc in their natural habitat. OK café.
