Cloisters Dining Rooms is a pleasant little restaurant situated just off Southport’s busy Lord Street. This restaurant is a little bit more interesting than your average place to eat in Southport as Cloisters decorates their restaurant with various artefacts and restored stained glass, giving the place an unusual yet cosy dining atmosphere. Their menu has a good mix of dishes, ranging from fish and chips in lager batter or sausages and mash to chicken satay and haddock tagliatelle. The good selection on offer at Cloisters means that there is a little something for everyone on their menu, including a vegetarian menu that is both extensive and delicious(as my meat-hating girlfriend will testify). Some of their dishes can be a bit pricey but there are a few good offers available during the week, including an a la carte menu offering two courses for £16.50. Their prices may be a bit more expensive than a lot of places in Southport but if you fancy dining in a restaurant that’s a bit different from other places nearby then maybe give Cloisters a go.
