Great unassuming wine bar that also serves food. Pretty quiet n the Tuesday that we went. So much so that we were concerned the kitchen wasn’t open, to our delight it was. Good sized menu with ample vegetarian dishes too. I was recommended the beef Wellington which 5 of my colleagues had. I eventually went for the cod loin. Really well cooked and presented, nice wine to accompany — unsurprising, considering it’s a wine bar. Take your colleagues, parents, other half, the ambience is nice.

A very cute little place with a large selection of wine. The space is a bit awkward as it echoes and it feel like everyone in the place can hear every word you say. The wine isn’t mad expensive, so that is a big plus, and the personnel is sweet. The food is good, but unfortunately people have gotten food poisoning from the place, so we avoid eating there since then. Hopefully the place has gotten better with food hygiene. Safe bet if you don’t know where to go.

Five star but only stay for the wine not the food. As a place for meeting for a nice glass of wine you cannot beat Rosies; the choice, the ambience, they have lovely decking at the back for summertime. They also have live music — fantastic! I don’t like the food there though so just have wine.

This place ROCKS!!! Awesome food, great drinks, superb atmosphere and the jazz is great fun. It’s a little on the pricey side but you definitely get value for money. I’ve taken my girlfriend and parents here and the staff even remembered me from the previous visit… awesome!

I was very disappointed when I went to Rosie’s. I found the service to be poor, had to wait a long time for my drinks and they weren’t even busy. The food was over cooked and had too many flavours going on. I think they are running on their past reputation and have let standards slip!

I’ve not tried the food here, but for a quiet glass of wine and some mellow jazz, Rosies is perfect! A very relaxed and friendly palce, and a great escape from the noisy student filled pubs!

This place is just what we need in portsmouth, with great food and a relaxed atmosphere your sure to have a lovely evening. The live jazz compliments the distinctive continental feel. Would love the live music to be played on a Saturday evening also.

Awesome, great food, super wine list. Bit pricey so one for a special treat — go on you’re worth it! Jazz makes it extra special.

The food here is AMAZING, Rosie’s is a lovely wine bar that serves great food. There is always a great atmosphere and the food is priced surprisingly low compared to it’s high quality. Rosie’s wine bar also has a great Jazz music night every week.

Great wine bar in Southsea. It has a lovely frontage and is nice and spacious. It’s divided into several areas and there’s a garden out back for smokers. The atmosphere here is wonderful. The wine menu of course is supberb and there is so much to choose from. The food is excellent and realy vaarierty of mouth watering dishes. Some evenings there is live jazz band which really tops the night off. Try here for a chilled evening with friends or a romantic first date. It gets busy and is very popular but you don;t feel over crowded sitting at your table

Loved my meal here — beef wellington, gorgeous alternative food found here. Really enjoyed my night and occasionally they will have a jazz night!

While I lived in Portsmouth(for 6 years 1 year ago) this was my favourite restaurant! I have never had a bad meal there(and I went there often!) The wine as with any wine bar is not the cheapest but nit ridiculously expensive either. The menu is small/the food british and seasonal and very very good! lovely atmosphere the restaurant is spread across three floors and an outside almost conservatory bit at the back(though seperate from the main building) the food is amazing well worth a try im sure you’ll go back!
