OK it has not got the history or the trendy beer kudos of other pubs in St Albans but its clean good layout and décor and the beer range us very good, good quality and a better price than mist :)

Sign on the door said no under 21’s after 7:00. So we went in with our 14 year old at 5:25 to order food and a pint. Had a pint, want to order another pint and some food at 6:05, and they told us to leave.
We would have eaten and left by 7:00.

i go to this pub a lot as its my local and ive gotten to know people in there, the prices are good and the staff actually remember what you drink which is nice, however the food wasnt the best, be careful its cooked properly

Not bad, even though it’s owned by one of the big British pub management companies. The veggie Kiev was very good and the small side salad had very good, fresh variety of salad greens. The day we went there, they had a lunch special where you could get two lunches (from a list of about 15 choices, or 75% of their regular lunch menu) for around 14 pounds, definitely a good deal. The building is a nice old pub as well.

This is a bit of an old man’s pub. The drinks are relatively cheap and there always seems to be some sort of good deal on in there, so its not a bad place to start a night out. The food is pretty tasty, and reasonably priced, but don’t expect the atmosphere to be amazing (expect to have a few old men stare at you as you walk in!).
There are some pool tables, and the staff are very friendly.
