After an intrepid jolly jingle cycle ride from Watford we finally got to our St Albans destinations with a delightful café to match. Inn on the Park, was very accommodating to about fifty female cyclist from across Herfordshire and North west London. As some sat out in the main café, the rest of us sat in the private long room. We all queued up looking upon their luscious cakes. I likes their chalk board menue. Also free wifi is on offer too. I orders a Blueberry muffin for £1:80 which was deliciously soft, where you could actually taste the blueberries. Being its Christmas time I chose to order something festive and chose an Egg nog Latte for £3:00 which had the right balance of sweetness and bitterness. Ours was a short visit, we took a lot of great pictures in their front garden. My next visit here will be an independent one, so I can really take in this café and try their food.

Bonkers-buzy in the hot weather as it is the only venue that sells refreshments in the park. When the playground, splashpool etc. are busy this place is busy. Nice venue, inside and outside seating, not badly priced and they’ve thought of most things you might want or need if you are at the park(including a guide to trees).

Actually not a bad little café. Conveniently located near a playground and splash park, plenty of outdoor seating for when the mood takes you, and a good selection of good«real» food(sandwiches, soup, potatoes, salads, and real food kids menu… No nuggets or fish fingers!). Watch out for the massive line up to get ice cream during summer though!!!

Top little café on the park, food and drinks are lovely although a tiny bit expensive for a café, but still a top little place situated in a great park of st albans.

We have been coming here for years and it really does make you wonder while more parks around the country don’t have places like this. It is well run, the food is freshly made and great value. It is also rare for the attentiveness of it’s staff and despite the fact that it is almost always busy there are plenty of tables and it’s almost always possible to get a seat. So we sit and relax while the kids wear themselves out around the beautiful park.

Cute place, decent food. This little restaurant sits outside the Verulamium Museum on the edge of the park. It’s large and airy indoors with interesting décor and friendly staff. It had a very comfy, family feel to it that was very welcoming. I ordered an egg salad sandwich that came with potato salad and crisps. I mean a FAT sandwich, stuffed full of egg salad, homemade potato salad and a pile of crisps scattered over the top. Impressive! I took my food and sat outside at one of their many tables in the garden. It was a lovely day for sitting in the sun and watching the kids play on the playground. And after lunch there’s a huge park to wander around in. Definitely a great way to spend an afternoon!
