Laurel House Charcoal Grill

I’ve been twice. Once with my family of four and once on my own. My husband is allergic to gluten and the chef was wonderful. Everything is easily GF. While I am a vegetarian, my children and hubby were all really happy with the chicken dishes. Everything looked an smelled fresh and delicious. The prices were a bit toward cheap… actually, I thought it was a tremendously well-​priced menu. Sandwiches were less than 4 gbp, as I recall. I had the portobello sandwich. It was perfect: seasoned, flavourful, on a light, toasted roll. Most things come with the house’s special chips. The owners and chefs seem very proud of the chips, and they are lovely, but I was more impressed with the sandwich. I also had the mushroom soup, on another visit. It was really perfect, too, and I can be very critical of soup. All in all, I’m happy to have the place in the neighbourhood.
