This place is really very cute… I don’t know why I haven’t reviewed it sooner… hmmm. It is(somewhat obviously) a shop dedicated to Italian food. Though I have to admit at times it can be a tinsy bit pricey for those on the budget… but its so cute and has so many imports you can’t find in St. Andrews that the premium is worth it. They have my favourite type of Amaretti cookies which I was super excited about! But I have to say I couldn’t afford their Truffle oil(go to Morrisons, they have it too… and cheap but probably not the same quality as the Little Italian Shop). When my parents where visiting we came here and got some cheese and pasta and pesto sauce(and wine of course) and made a meal from this place. And(don’t hate me for mentioning it again) but the shop is just so cute that I can’t help but love it! Sometimes I get a little worried though when I walk by and I don’t see anyone inside… I don’t want this place to close because of the recession!

A beautiful little shop that shows ingenuity and authenticity on a highstreet increasingly crowded by bland chain stores. The selection of Italian produce is great — try the specialist flour for making pasta — and the deli counter has delicious fresh foods. The owners really know their stuff and are happy to help with advice and suggestions.

There are few more cozy, friendly and specialised shops in St Andrews(except maybe the Christmas Shop ;)). A large, authentic selection of Italian food items is matched with fresh products, meat, cheese of all descriptions. Prices may be a little bit steep, but are good value — the products are of a very high quality.
