The Soup Kitchen offers a little olde worlde charm in a world of chain restaurants and coffee shops. Waitresses clad in black pinafores with white aprons provide friendly, if a little slow at times, service. The food is of a good standard and harks back to British eateries of yesteryear, just without the lard. Tasty, fresh and comforting.

One of Staffordshire oldest eateries is found in the heart of Stafford. The Soup Kitchen is a delightful place to be waited on hand and foot. It has an extensive hot and cold menu all cooked fresh and the most delightful sweet menu, some of the sweets tempt you on the way in as they are displayed in the chiller counter The staff are all ways very happy and extremely friendly. If you prefer not to have waiter /waitress service The Soup Kitchen also has an area you can queue buy what delights you want and find a table, but from many previous experiences of this place it is much better to have the waiter /waitress service. The menu is good value for money any if your passing this delightful place you really must try it out you really won’t be disappointed.

This is a lovely little place. It’s really old fashioned, and quite hidden away. The staff are nice and the food is great. Average prices, a little more than you’d pay for a pub meal probably, but worth it for the interesting building and decent food.

A place to go for a treat, you must go with friends or family because its old english charm will never fale welcome/acomodate your needs. You will never sit in the same place in the soup kitchen as there are many floors its brillient for the imgaination, in the winter its easy to forget your in stafford, you could be in hogsmead or some magical land with top notch hot chocolate in glass rather than a mug makes you feel like your getting somthing special. Your tray of goodies is carryed to a free table by staff dressed smartly in black and white. If you like traditional slant in a modern age this bets all the other contenders like starbucks etc. Prices are a little bit more expensive but thats only cus they offer fresh wipped cream with everything and because its a treat– somtimes your not paying, your mum is!!! haha I personally love the tropical toasties there fab! Oh and The Grove coffee house is the other side of the church from the soup kitchen is a smaller building and is very similar old fashioned service of excellance etc but on less staff so I always leave a litte tip for them as they all work there buts off! The are about three different types of coffees filter house and another one i forgot silly me.
