The Q is a pub tucked out of the way close to the railway bridge in Stalybridge. It is known for having the official shortest pub name in the country: the circular blue plaque never lies. But what it misses in letters it makes up for in local reputation for its ales and atmosphere.
There is a nice beer garden to the side; you could do much worse than spend a cosy night in the Q inn…

The Q Inn in Stalybridge is not just any normal pub. It has a famous background as it has been put on the map by Guinness World Records for having the shortest name in the United Kingdom! Also Stalybridge holds the record for the longest name pub too!
Apart from being a celebrity, this pub is one pub that stands today in the recession, unaltered. It has continue to be a real ale pub that is popular with young and old alike. It is well known for its smooth beer and friendly atmosphere. And this pub should receive such credit as business like these are shrinking. Well done to the Q Inn, one of my favourite pubs in Stalybridge!
