Max Spielmann is a photo developing shop on the high street in Stamford; it is only a small shop but plenty big enough for its requirements. There are three instant developing machines for you to use yourself if you need your pictures in a hurry or you have the option of leaving your films or memory card with the assistants for them to develop over a couple of days which is the cheaper option. The staff are extremely friendly and very helpful. They have an excellent knowledge of the machinery they are using and the products they are selling. They also sell other photographic related items.

This shop is extremely useful, and is in a great location for customers. As it is in the centre of the high street, it is easy to get to and you can quickly find it. The assistants are always helpful, and as some of the procedures can be quite difficult, they are always willing to stay with you and help while you do the printing selections. There is a great range of stock, and the facilities are great. The shop has a friendly feel to it, and you are always welcomed at the door and offered assistance. A vital part of the Stamford town.

Max Spielmann is a good shop to go to for buying reasonably priced digital cameras, films, disposable cameras and photograph related items such as photo frames and albums. They also offer a film developing serivce instore. This is useful because there are not many of these in the town of Stamford at such a reasonable price, and who offer different timescales for the development of your photographs. I have used this shop a few times to develop films from disposable cameras in the past, and have found all the staff to be friendly and helpful. The reason I give them 4 stars is because although the photographs were developed quickly they were not the best quality — but then I guess this is hard to achieve from a disposable camera. Hopefully the shop will survive in the era of digital photography.

Max Spielmann is a much needed shop on the High Street in Stamford. It caters for all your photography needs from buying from a good range of cameras to the printing out of your pictures. The Machines for the ‘do it yourself’ printing facility are very easy to use as long as you just follow the simple instructions, and if you have any difficulties the very helpful staff are always on hand, especially the young lady who helped me out a few weeks ago, she could not have been more helpful or patient with me, and considering it was a busy Saturday she did not once make me feel like I was taking up her time. She also has a very good knowledge of the products in the shop and was very informative on the many different products I was inquiring about. I will definatley return to this shop as it does work out much cheaper for me to print photographs in the shop rather than at home. If you do not want to print the photos out yourself you can leave it with the staff to sort out for you. They also stock a huge range of Albums and frames, the shop is well laid out and a pleasure to visit.
