I was really sure that I’d already reviewed this place… I’m now experiencing something of a strange deja-vu as I write this… So, first things first, this is a chain, and yes, all of the food is the same where-ever you go, and yes again, it’s all set up to look authentic, but it’s not. But that’s not the reason that you’d go here. If you’re looking for something different, or you’re looking for authentic, perhaps a retail park isn’t the best place to start. The restaurant is kept clean, and all of the staff have that ‘out of a box’ look that you’d expect from a company that probably tells them what to say, but they’re all very friendly, which I think adds to the experience, and they’re always happy to help out with any requests that you might have. The food is what you’d expect, though I will say that the pizzas are actually(in my opinion) pretty good. The bases are thin and soft, they don’t sting on the toppings, and if you decide that you’d prefer a calzone(the best kind of pizza) you’re in luck; they’re choc full of goodness. They also have bacon cheese fries, the American kind with cheese sauce, which are brilliant in a really bad kind of way. The menu is huge, so you’ll find something to satisfy almost any palate, and the prices aren’t too high. Now, a word of warning. If you’re in the mood for a romantic meal with your squeeze, want a relaxing dinner after a hard day at work or are after gourmet cuisine, you won’t find it here. What you will get is a moderately noisy place, with lots of kids, and lots of noise. You’ll also get interupted at least once as they dim the house lights, stick on the Cliff Richard(yes, really) and bring out the cake for someones birthday. If it happens more than once it can get a bit grating. So, what am I trying to say? Frankie and Bennies is fine if you want something quick, want something tasty and want something consistant, but aren’t too bothered about the ambiance.

nothing to write home about nice hot dogs, greasy pizza, good if your in the area say at the retail park but probably not worth the trip — especially with the amount of screaming kids @ the venue — avoid school holidays!

Good american food chain. The food is as to be expected from a large chain. The service is quick and the staff friendly. It can get very busy particularly with children(as a result very noisy). It is not the place for a romantic meal but great for hangover.

Went here at the start of late last year and the atmosphere was fantastic and the staff really friendly and helpful. The reastrant was busy but there was plenty of staff on hand to serve you. The kids meals were great value for money and they included free drinks with refils and a pudding. The adult meals were enourmous and great value for the money. Kids got a small lucky bag each with snap cards and activity book and crayons for while we waited for the food which kept them entertained while waiting but we din’t have to wait long. Would really recomend and would definatgely go back

I first tried Frankie and Bennys a few months ago when i went out for a quick meal with my boyfriend. We arrived and there were no tables. We got given a bleaper thing and got asked if we would wait at the bar and when hte bleaper started flashing to go back to the seating stand so we could be seated. We bought a drink at the bar and waited around fifteen minutes before getting a table. We sat down and after around five minutes we got given our menus. The staff were very friendly and soon came back to take our order. I had the potato skins and my boyfriend had some chicken wings ro something similar. The starters were very nice, although the potato skins were large and very filling! For the main course i had a steak, which was rather disappointing to be honest. It just didn’t have much flavour, so would not have this again. My boyfriend however, was happy with his main course. Overall the food was good, and i would go there again, but as it was busy you could tell they wanted you in and out as quick as possible. The staff were very friendly though and very helpful.

Took my parents here one night, as this is the sort of food that my dad likes. It’s not really up my street but I was pleasantly surprised by the food. A good choice, although not cheap, and it was well cooked and teh service was good.

Frankie & Bennys is an New York Italian style chain restaurant situated at the Peel Centre, just outside of Stockport town centre. It is like an upmarket and more expensive version of Pizza Hut. The menu is good but there are few options for vegetarians and almost none for vegans. I have tried the pizza and pasta dishes which were tasty and a decent size. The atmosphere is very generic with old fashioned photos and the same rat pack type music every time you visit. It also gets very busy at weekends and the service suffers as a result. We have had long waiting times for tables and have had cold pizzas served to us on past visits.

I recently went here for my brother’s birthday and was impressed with the quality of the food. It looks like an American diner inside and the staff are all very polite and helpful. They serve a wide range of American dishes from pizza to pasta to meat dishes. They also do brunch and daytime meals. The prices are reasonable.

Im going to keep it simple. Walk in and order a steak and chips, when you have a hangover on a lazy sunday, and you will keep going back. Veggies they have loaded potatoe skins, dripping in cheese for you:) Is that everyone covered lol:)

Frankie & Benny’s Italian-American restaurant is located on the Peel Center, Stockport. It’s my favourite restaurant to go to, whatever the occasion. The décor is really authentic american bistro type setting, with an open kitchen so you can see the chefs at work. They have a fantastic extensive menu, with great prices. My favourite meal is Sicilian Calzone(a folded pizza with mushrooms, pepperoni, bolognaise, red onions and ham, topped with italian tomato sauce yum!) They do a great lunch menu, with 2 courses for £6.95 or 3 courses for around £8, with free refills on soft drinks. The staff are great. You get a dedicated server who deals with your table, and they are really polite and helpful. I love going here for lunch, its a nice place to stop and eat in the middle of shopping in the nearby Merseyway Shopping Center.
