Ah yes Wirral’s Loch Fyne offering. I am in the Loch Fyne fan camp I must say, I love the story behind it. How the idea came from growing oysters in the clear, fertile waters of Loch Fyne. The success has come from their commitment to top quality food. I can live with that. They also always have great offers on such as the one they have on at the moment; Dinner and wine for two at £30 from sunday-thursday. That’s a two course dinner, and I’d suggest the Scottish smoked haddock and the cold poached salmon. However whatever you chose is likely to be top notch as mentioned. Loch Fyne is what I would consider to be one of those safe bets when you are out dining. The Wirral has one and it is arguably one of the best restaurants in the region.

We took mum here for mothers day and it was a great success. I had half a lobster with garlic butter and it was divine. All fish is prepared in front of you and the chefs are extremely talented. I decided to buy two crabs and took them home to prepare for dinner the next day, I got many brownie points for that dinner so thumbs up Loch Fyne. This place can be quite pricey however if you go on they often have money off vouchers for this restaurant and other Loch Fynes around the U.K.

Despite being part of a chain, this restaurant feels distinctly local with pleasant, helpful staff and superb seafood from Scotland. It also offers great value and the children’s menu is one of the best out there. You can also get great beef and game(when is season) from Scotland too.
