Thespians Indian Restaurant

In town for a few days just off of travel from the US via Germany and France. Was looking for some good indian food and tracked down Thespians on Unilocal.Was not disappointed at all. The restaurant was completely full so I was very lucky with my timing and arrived as someone had just left so I had a seat. Had a pint of Cobra while looking over the menu and ordered the Bokhari Gosht Gonta and asked for it spicy. This was an amazing dish. Lamb absolutely fell off the bone and the sauce was great and just enough spice to make me start to break a sweat so this means it was perfect for my taste. Their naan was freshly made and hot. I will definitely be back here in the future upon returning to the town.

Pretty Delicious! Quick service and alot of food.

Excellent vegetarian food and extremely courteous service. We also enjoyed the beer on tap — Cobra which is an Indian beer that was light and not too fizzy. This was one of the finer dining experiences we had and we were excited to have multiple vegan options as there are not many in the neighborhood if you also exclude fish, eggs and cheese.

I have seen some changes in this place over the years but, asthe French say, Plus ca change I believe it was called Husseins for many years but my memory may be not as fresh as it was. the last ime I ate here the food was great and service impeccable and i had seen a big improvement. This place is like so many Indian Restaurants but at least you know what you are getting — good solid food, lare portions, great value and top service. the Prawn Purée followed by Chicken Tikka Masala all washed down with a bottle of house white was a meal I have enjoyed in many different restaurants over the years but this was as good as any and actually rather better than most. We always like to visit Thespian’s when we are in Stratford Upon Avon. They have some different indian dishes to try, the service is always good. I would recommend booking because it is a very busy restaurant. On one of the main streets in Stratford.
