Chaise Guest House

John was a great host in his guest house that is undergoing an upgrade at the moment. I had a sneek in to on the ground floor look great with the remainder of the floors following in short order. The view from our room was fantastic and we spent a numbers of hours each day just wayching the world go by.
They say you should start the day with a hearty breakfast and the team did a great job with a meal that lasted most of the day.
I informed John as we were leaving that my only disppointment was the uncomfortable bed and he seemed genuinely surprised and said that no one else had mentioned it but would look at it at the earliest oppurtunity.
Sunderland is just a short distance away with busses stopping outside the guest house every 30 minutes.
The Thia restaurant next door (1 min) is amazing
