I loved it in there, definately one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve visited in recent times. Nice, virbrant menu, a bit on the pricey side but I’d rather pay the extra money for the quality.
The service was excellent and the staff were well focused and very welcoming.
I’ll definately be coming back, when I have my annual visit to the north-​east!

I’ve been here before… back in ’05 when I studied at Sunderland. I remember a dimly lit place and Khela counting all the change we used to pay. I think the meals were good. most of the group enjoyed but if I remember correctly I thought mine was just okay. I thought it was an odd name since we have a chain in the US by the same name but England created something way less commercial. The prices were good for even a student on a budget and I think we all enjoyed the wine.

Very pleasant traditional Italian restaurant, good quality affordable pizza and pasta, always worth checking the special boards, for seasonal seafood and meat dishes.
