This is an excellent example of how indian buffets should be done. The food was among the best I have had. The staff are all very welcoming and friendly, and I will certainly be going back(probably next Saturday). There is a great selection of food available, and everything I tried was delicious. I was extremely clean and had a nice atmosphere. Like the comment below states One of the best restaurants in Sunderland by far!

Barry you must have been to a different restaurant as I too had a totally different experience! Staff were so friendly, couldn’t have done more to help, restaurant was very clean, new dishes were constantly been served so you didn’t have cold food. The selection wasn’t the best but we were there at lunchtime so like most buffets I can imagine there being a bigger selection on an evening. Great price too!

I couldn’t have had a more different experience than the previous reviewer were we even eating at the same restaurant?! The food was delicious; warm but not under lights so had kept well. Felt as though the korma could have had some flavour, and the onion bhajis would have benefited from more onion and less flour to achieve a less doughey consistency, but those were the only things I’d have liked to be improved. Great salad bar, restaurant quality food, a good range of dishes, the most stuffed peshwari naan ever and what’s more a well stocked desert bar too! The service was great, poppadoms were brought to us at the table and we were offered more when we finished them(when we said yes, another arrived within a minute and they’re crunchy not like some buffets where they sit under lights and get chewy). Very polite waiters who don’t harass you but do ensure you’re taken care of. The décor is tasteful and classy, and the seats are really comfy too! I also appreciated the choice of music — Indian instead of dancey pop as in most local buffets all put together felt more Indian restaurant than buffet grub. At £6.99 daytime, and £2.40 a pint of pop we felt it was great value. We do want to revisit, and hope to do so in the evening(even at the evening £13.99 price I believe it to be a good deal compared to a takeaway and no washing up!) to see what extra dishes are on offer :)
