This is a quietish corner pub, though it can get busy later in the evenings. Reasonable choice of beer, London Pride plus keg beers and lager. The food is hyper expensive, a good place to go Dutch! Décor and furnishings are modern.
I get the impression this is the trendy place for the young affluent types. It makes a change from The Antelope, though which gets very crowded.

A modern, attractive watering hole a little away from the centre of suburbiton. I had already ordered an average cider when I saw that they were actually serving T.E.A from Hogssomething. Gutted! Ah well. I enjoyed my short visit all the same.
Is this a pub or a bar? I would lean towards a bar really. Either way I’d enjoy killing some more time here.

Whenever my parents are visiting we go here. They are both vegetarians and completely addicted to the butternut squash roast. The service is always friendly and efficient the chef’s even been out a few times to check everything’s OK with the food. I like the selection of wine they have not too many that you can’t choose, but the ones they do have are very well selected. I’ve always been there for lunch and never had a problem finding a table.

Yes this is good. Don’t judge a bar, by the people you see when you look through the window.
I avoided going in here for about 2 years, because i thought it looked a bit… poncy?
But…
It is actually a lovely place for a drink and some snacks. If you get there before 6.30pm you can order 2 things off the menu for £6.95, and the portions are huge. I ordered some chips and there were enough there for 3 people !! Chip heaven!
It’s not a place i would stay in for hours, but it’s nice to drop in.

Trying to be a trendy wine bar. I guess it sort of succeeds.

The perfect place to go for Sunday brunch after an excessive Saturday night. The food’s delicious, the atmosphere’s relaxed, and the service is personal and pleasant.
Go later on and it can get fairly busy, though they always seem to manage. The wine list is well thought out, and there’s a wide variety of beers of varying pretentiousness. Probably best to sample everything ;)
Generally, it attracts a slightly older bunch of locals than the likes of the Rubicon cocktail bar down the road, and the (generally quiet) background music’s standard wine bar fare.
As the last reviewer said, they also offer free WiFi, which makes this a great place to come and do freelance work etc., if you fancy a change of scene. The next nearest free WiFi is at McDonald’s, so this is a boon.

i think the chap below has said it all really — great place to relax after work — cheap, good quality food during happy hour — and cheap drink! good crowd in here too — not to many of the ‘riff raff’ in here. you can drink your pint in comfort — without some old vagrant trying to tell to you about his horse in the 3.15 at sandown that fell at the last!

The Gordon Bennett is a great local pub. Better than average pub food, awesome steak and burgers, and a really delicious selection of ‘smaller plates’ which during the week make part of their ‘small plates special’ — 3 small plates or a burger for £5.95. The selection of wines and champagne gives this pub a wine bar feel, but it is still in my eyes a pub and a really great place to drink on Friday/​Saturday nights.

enjoyable atmosphere, good food, very popular with the Surbiton locals. Can get very crowded. Good Wines and Beer, Food is recommended. Free WIFI, so also an option for a business meeting.
